Gilts follow peers lower in the wake of the firmer-than-expected Australian CPI data.

  • Gilt futures -22 at 98.42, with Friday/Monday lows (98.38) still protecting more meaningful support (99.21).
  • Cash gilt yields are ~1bp higher across the curve.
  • 10-Year EGBs generally tighten a little vs. gilts.
  • SONIA futures and BoE-dated OIS are in line with pre-gilt open levels (see our pre-gilt open STIR bullet for exacts there).
  • GBP3bn of 3.75% Jan-38 gilt supply is due from the DMO this morning, while lower tier CBI sales data also due.
