Lower Still

AUSSIE BONDS

Futures trade through their overnight lows in early Sydney dealing, with YM -3.0 and XM -4.0 at typing. This comes after the contracts nudged lower overnight, alongside broader global core FI markets, in the wake of ACGBs underperformance vs. U.S. Tsys in Tuesday’s Sydney session.

  • Westpac consumer confidence data and A$1.0bn of ACGB Nov-32 supply headline the local docket on Wednesday.
  • A quick reminder that semi-government bond issuance was one of the cogs we flagged during yesterday’s sell off. NSW will price a new Nov-32 sustainability bond before the close of business today. The issuance will be benchmark in size.
