Marginal Gain For Macron In Latest Ifop Poll

President Emmanuel Macron has made a marginal gain in the latest daily rolling opinion poll from pollster Ifop-Fiducial ahead of the 24 April second round vote.

  • Ifop-Fiducial poll: Presidential run-off election: Macron (EC-RE): 53.5% (+0.5), Le Pen (RN-ID): 46.5% (-0.5)
    +/- vs. 10-13 April 2022. Fieldwork: 11-14 April 2022. Sample size: 3,005
  • As has been the case since the first round on 10 April, voters supportive of far-left candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon, green candidate Yannick Jadot, and centre-right Gaullist Valerie Pecresse (accounting for 31.6% of all first round voters) are saying that they will back Macron in greater numbers than Le Pen (although a plurality of Melenchon voters have stated that they will stay at home and not vote, see chart below)
