    • Daily figures have dropped from 60k before April 29th lockdown to 14,500, with Govt aiming for a drop below 5k for the tourist season.
    • Turkish Medical association says herd immunity will net be reached before spring 2022 unless more vaccines are procured, or statistics are altered.
    • Also says testing is down to 200k/wk vs 320k in mid-April
  • CHP urges govt to waive guarantee payments for unused bridges during Eid al-Fitr under the build-operate-transfer model which will cost thousands of dollars over the holiday.
    • Turkish govt covers the revenue shortfall to bridge makers if certain volumes are not reached – this amounts to over $2m daily.
    • CHP says the public budget should not be used for this when many are provided no assistance during Eid al-Fitr
