- Last week, CNB Governor Michl said that central bank is already in a ‘restrictive territory’, and also stated that the Jackson Hole gathering of policy makers confirmed his view that monetary tightening alone will not be able to secure a significant ease in inflation without the help from fiscal policy.
- EURCZK has been consolidating lower in the past few days after finding resistance at 24.6740 last week. ST support to watch om the downside stands at 24.50. On the topside, key resistance to watch stands at 24.7210 (200DMA).
- Economic data to watch this morning will be Q2 GDP (2nd print), expected to remain steady at 0.2% QoQ.
- Manufacturing PMI is also coming out this week (Sep 1st) and expected to remain at depressed level in August at 46.9, well below 50-line threshold that separates growth from contraction.
