Diesel and gasoline cracks are trading higher today, likely supported by the start of some refinery turnarounds. 

  • US gasoline crack up 0.2$/bbl at 13.47$/bbl
  • US ULSD crack up 0.1$/bbl at 27.53$/bbl
  • US Gasoline inventories are expected to have risen by 3.6m bbl., while distillate inventories are seen down 1.4m bbl on the week, according to Macquarie.
  • Motiva’s Port Arthur 626kb/d refinery shut its 93kb/d FCC and 22k b/d alkylation unit early Jan. 27 for a turnaround delayed from last week.
  • LyondellBasell began shuttering its 263,776 bpd Houston refinery on Monday for permanent closure, sources told Reuters.
  • Sinopec plans to raise crude throughput in February by 100k - 150kb/d from January amid rising travel demand during the Luna
