  • According to the FT, President Milei won’t resubmit his omnibus reform bill to congress until December 2025, after mid-term elections are completed. He believes that these mid-terms could increase his party’s representation in the chamber, increasing the chances of the bill being approved at that time.
  • In the interview with the FT, Milei said that for now he will send reforms one at a time to congress, rather than in large packages, and that the government will also rely on decrees. He said that he still has many other reforms to present, while also reiterating the government’s commitment to lifting currency controls, which could be done by the middle of this year.
