AUSSIE 3-YR TECHS: (Z17) Bears Focused On Channel Base
*RES 4: 97.935 - Hourly resistance Sept 14
*RES 3: 97.880 - Low Sept 14 now resistance
*RES 2: 97.865 - Hourly resistance Sept 15
*RES 1: 97.840 - High Sept 26
*PRICE: 97.810 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 97.790 - Low Sept 27
*SUP 2: 97.760 - Hourly resistance Sept 21 now support
*SUP 3: 97.720 - 2017 Low Sept 20
*SUP 4: 97.632 - Daily Bear channel base
*COMMENTARY: Bears currently remain focused on the daily bear channel base and
then 2015 lows. In saying that, correcting O/S studies remain the key concern
for bears. The 97.840-880 resistance region is now key. Above 97.880 is needed
to see bulls targeting 97.910-978 where 21 & 55-DMAs and the bear channel top
are located. While 97.880 caps bears retain control.
AUSSIE 10-YR TECHS: (Z17) Bears Focused On 97.0600
*RES 4: 97.2693 - 21-DMA
*RES 3: 97.2300 - Low July 26 now resistance
*RES 2: 97.2100 - Monthly Low July 20 now resistance
*RES 1: 97.1650 - Low Sept 25 now resistance
*PRICE: 97.1450 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 97.1300 - Low Sept 27
*SUP 2: 97.1150 - Alternating hourly support/resistance
*SUP 3: 97.0750 - Low Sept 21
*SUP 4: 97.0600 - High Mar 10 now support
*COMMENTARY: The recovery from last week's low looks to be in trouble having
remained capped ahead of the key 97.2300 resistance. Bulls need a close above
97.2300 to confirm an easing of bearish pressure and to shift focus back to
97.2693-4036 where DMAs and the bear channel top are situated. Bears now need a
close below 97.1150 to add weight to the case for a test of 97.0600.
US 10-YR FUTURE TECHS: (Z17) Bears Focused On July Low
*RES 4: 126-050 - High Sept 20
*RES 3: 126-040 - High Sept 25, 55-DMA
*RES 2: 125-230 - Low Sept 25 now resistance
*RES 1: 125-180 - Hourly resistance Sept 27
*PRICE: 125-130 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 125-100 - Low Sept 27
*SUP 2: 125-070 - Bollinger band base
*SUP 3: 125-040 - Low July 26
*SUP 4: 124-280 - Low July 12
*COMMENTARY: This week's topside failures around the 55-DMA have taken their
toll with fresh 2mth lows and confirmation of focus having returned to the
124-140 July low. O/S daily studies and the Bollinger base remain key concerns
for bears. Layers of resistance are building with bulls needing a close above
125-230 to gain breathing room and a close above 126-090 to hint at a correction
back to 126-270.
US 10-YR YIELD TECHS: Pressure Back On 200-DMA
*RES 4: 2.337 - Repeated daily highs July
*RES 3: 2.328 - 200-DMA
*RES 2: 2.326 - Bollinger band top
*RES 1: 2.314 - High Sept 27
*PRICE: 2.310 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 2.301 - Hourly support Sept 27
*SUP 2: 2.284 - Hourly support Sept 27a
*SUP 3: 2.266 - Alternating hourly support/resistance
*SUP 4: 2.245 - High Sept 26 now support
*COMMENTARY: Failure to trouble 2.208 resulted in an aggressive rally and
bullish close confirming immediate focus on 2.328-337 where the 200-DMA is
noted. Bulls now look for a close above 2.337 to confirm a break of the 200-DMA
and hint at a move back to 2017 highs. Layers of support are building with bears
now needing a close below 2.266 to ease bullish pressure. Below 2.208 remains
needed to shift initial focus back to 2.118-181 where the 21-DMA is located.
JGB TECHS: (Z17) Flirting With 200-DMA
*RES 4: 150.77 - Low Sept 25 now resistance
*RES 3: 150.65 - Low Sept 20 now resistance
*RES 2: 150.56 - 100-DMA
*RES 1: 150.50 - Hourly resistance Sept 27
*PRICE: 150.44 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 150.43 - 200-DMA
*SUP 2: 150.42 - Low Sept 27
*SUP 3: 150.33 - High July 25 now support
*SUP 4: 150.11 - Low Aug 2
*COMMENTARY: Hesitation ahead of key DMAs has come to an end with a dip below
the 200-DMA and the contract remaining heavy. Bears continue to look for a close
below the 200-DMA to end bullish hopes and hint at a move back to 149.65 July
lows with below 150.06 to confirm. Layers of resistance continue to build with
bulls needing a close above 150.65 to ease bearish pressure and hint at a bounce
back to 150.96-151.10.
