The Bank of Japan said Friday it has decided to keep the frequency of government bond buying operations and the scale of each bond buying operation in August unchanged from July.
The BOJ has changed its guidance period for JGB bond buying operations to a quarterly basis from the monthly basis and the bank will not change the scale of bond buying for three months.
The BOJ will offer to buy JPY450 billion of JGBs with 1 to 3 years remaining, JPY450 billion with 3 to 5 years, JPY425 billion with 5 to 10 years, JPY150 billion with 10 to 25 years and JPY50 billion with more than 25 years.
