Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said on Wednesday that he has given no thought to changing the yield curve control policy as the 2% price target hasn’t been achieved.

“We don’t think of raising interest rates and changing the yield curve control,” Kuroda told lawmakers.

He added that the BOJ is always makes efforts to conduct appropriate monetary policy, while closely watching the developments in the economy and prices, including the impact of foreign exchange rates.

Japanese yields have risen slightly on the back of global bond movements but the BOJ maintains the yield curve control policy to deliver easy monetary policy.
