China must stick to market economy reforms and its policy to support private companies will not change, said Vice Premier Liu He at the China International Digital Economy Expo on Monday, according to Xinhua News Agency.
China must vigorously support the private economy and let it play a greater role in stabilizing growth, employment, and promoting innovation, said Liu, noting that the private economy has contributed over 50% of tax revenue, over 60% of GDP, over 70% of technological innovation, over 80% of urban employment, and accounted for over 90% of market players.
China should properly promote infrastructure for the digital economy to optimise the supply of resources and services, as well as protect fair competition and oppose monopoly, Xinhua cited Liu as saying.
