MNI BRIEF: Focus Support For Cutting-Edge Tech - Ministry

MNI (Beijing)

Authorities will ensure support cutting-edge disruptive technologies and work to create an integrated ecosystem for innovation with industrial sectors, senior leaders at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said on Wednesday.

Speaking at a roundtable meeting with SMEs, officials said entrepreneurs can be active in national strategies, and should deepen collaboration between upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain.

China will push back against making any major concessions in response to Western accusations of “overcapacity” in electric-vehicle and green sectors, instead relying on offers of deeper cooperation, which some – such as the EU – may be more open to, advisors told MNI.
