Japan's exports rose 9.6% y/y in January, a slower pace than December, and imports rose 39.6% y/y, data released on Thursday by the Ministry of Finance showed

Japan posted an overall trade deficit of JPY2.19 trillion for the sixth straight trade gap, wider than the JPY583.3 billion deficit in December.
