US DATA
MNI (London)

The Chicago Business Barometer™ Survey asked firms in May whether stricter credit criteria have impacted their access to liquidity in the wake of rising interest rates and recent banking volatility.

  • The majority of firms (47.8%) responded that tighter credit criteria have not impacted their access to liquidity, whilst an equal 13.0% answered either yes or somewhat. 26.1% answered unknown.

  • Firms noted that borrowing costs had chiefly been affected thus far, but access remained largely unimpeded.
