MNI DATA BRIEF: UK's EU Divorce Cost Ups Borrowing Thru Sep

(MNI) LONDON

The UK's June borrowing was inflated by a GBP800 million instalment of EU divorce fees, -- a downpayment on a bill received in April. Statisticians expect similar payments to hit government borrowing in July, August and September. The next divorce bill will be issued in September, and is likely to be paid over four months as well.
