     LONDON (MNI) - Thursday throws up a full calendar on both sides of the
Atlantic, with a heavy data calendar and a host of central bank appearances.
     The European Calendar gets underway at 0700GMT, with the release of the
German retail sales and the German ILO employment data. At the same time, the UK
Nationwide House Price Index will be published.
     At 0745GMT, the latest French PPI data and HICP data will be published.
     The Swiss KOF Economic Barometer will be published at 0800GMT, the same
time the Spanish final GDP data is released.
     Also at 0800GMT, ECB Executive Board member Yves Mersch will give the
introductory speech at joint ECB/Banca d'Italia conference "Digital
transformation of the retail payments ecosystem", in Rome. At 0810GMT, Buba
Board member Carl-Ludwig Thiele speaks at a Symposium Current account and
Payments 2017, in Berlin.
     The latest Swiss retail sales data will be published at 0815GMT.
     ECB Executive Board member Yves Mersch IS chairing A panel at joint
ECB/Banca d'Italia conference "Digital transformation of the retail payments
ecosystem", in Rome, starting at 0830GMT.
     At 0855GMT, the German Federal unemployment data will be published. At
1000GMT, the main release of the morning, euro area flash November inflation,
will be published.
     At the same time, Italian inflation data and euro area unemployment data
will be released.
     At 1000GMT, ECB Executive Board member Peter Praet delivers the Ludwig
Erhard Lecture organised by The Lisbon Council, in Brussels.
     The US calendar gets underway at 1330GMT, when the US Jobless Claims data
and the US Personal Income and Consumption numbers will be released.
     Canadian current account and payroll employment numbers will be released at
the same time.
     At 1330GMT, Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank President Loretta Mester will
moderate a panel discussion on "Financial Innovation and Macroprudential Policy"
at the 2017 Financial Stability and Fintech Conference in Washington.
     The Milwaukee Manufacturing ISM index will be released at 1400GMT, followed
by the MNI Chicago PMI at 1445GMT.
     At 1530GMT, the US Natural Gas Stocks data will cross the wires.
     Federal Reserve Vice Chairman for Supervision Randal Quarles speaks on
payment systems at the "Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and Office of
Financial Research Conference: 2017 Financial Stability and Fintech Conference"
in Washington, starting at 1720GMT.
     Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Rob Kaplan participates in a
moderated Q&A session at the Real Estate Council Speaking Series in Dallas, with
audience and media Q&A, starting at 1800GMT.
     Late US data will see farm prices published at 2000GMT, with the Fed's
Weekly M2 Money Supply Data at 2130GMT
