MNI Global Morning Briefing

MNI (London)
LONDON (MNI) - The calendar remains fairly quiet Tuesday. However, three
events must not be missed. These are the the final Q4 Italy GDP reading at
0900GMT, the UK February services PMI at 0930GMT and the ISM February
non-manufacturing index in the states at 1500GMT.
The Q4 GDP was estimated at -0.2% q/q and 0.1% y/y in the flash estimate.
The final reading does not anticipate a change in this outcome.
Whilst the manufacturing PMI held above 50 in February, construction failed
to do so, falling to 49.5. The services PMI is forecasted by the MNI median to
post a decline to 49.9. This would likely signal that uncertainty is starting to
gradually impose itself.
Boston Federal Reserve Bank president Eric Rosengren is speaking at 1230GMT
in Boston, Massachusetts.
The ISM Non-manufacturing index is anticipated to rise to 57.4 after a
previous reading in January of 56.7.
