MNI: MOF To Cut JGB Issuance In FY2019 By Y4.8 Trln - Press

     TOKYO (MNI) - The Ministry of Finance will likely reduce its issuance of
Japanese government bonds in fiscal 2019 by Y4.8 trillion from fiscal 2018 to
Y129.4 trillion, the Nikkei reported Monday. It will be the sixth straight year
of reduced reduction of JGB issuance.
     The leading newspaper also said that the MOF will lower its issuance of 2-,
5-, 10- and 20-year bonds each by Y1.2 trillion in fiscal 2019.
     The issuance of 20-year bonds will be reduced to Y10.8 trillion (vs. Y12
trillion in the current year).
     The scale of 10-year bond issuance will be lowered to Y25.2 trillion (vs.
Y26.4 trillion in fiscal 2018).
     The issuance of 2- and 5-year bonds also will be reduced each by Y1.2
trillion from fiscal 2018 to Y22.8 trillion and Y24.0 trillion in fiscal 2019.
