MNI: PBOC Injects CNY120 Bln via Open Market Operations

BEIJING (MNI) - The People's Bank of China (PBOC) injected CNY120 billion
via 7-day reverse repos with the rate unchanged at 2.20% on Wednesday, according
to a statement on the PBOC website.
     - The injection aims to offset the impact of government bond issuance and
keep liquidity reasonable and ample, the PBOC said.
     - The 7-day weighted average interbank repo rate for depository
institutions (DR007) rose to 2.0542% at 09:51 a.m. local time from the close of
1.8590% on Tuesday: Wind Information.
     - The CFETS-NEX money-market sentiment index closed at 38 on Tuesday vs 51
on Monday. A lower index indicates decreased market expectations for tighter
liquidity.
