CNY: A Risk-On Currency?

BEIJING (MNI) - The People's Bank of China (PBOC) skipped open market
operations for the 12th day on Wednesday, leaving liquidity unchanged, according
to Wind Information.
     - Total liquidity in the banking system is at a reasonable and ample level,
the PBOC said on its website.
     - The 7-day weighted average interbank repo rate for depository
institutions (DR007) rose to 2.4000% at 9:23 a.m. local time from the weighted
average of 1.9624% on Tuesday: Wind Information.
     - The CFETS-NEX money-market sentiment index closed at 34 on Tuesday, flat
from the close of Monday. A higher index indicates increased market expectations
for tighter liquidity.
