  • US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will depart today for two key summits in Europe. On Saturday, he will be joined by President Biden for the G7 Leaders’ Summit in Bavaria.
  • Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm will hold a meeting today with energy CEOs and executives today in a bid to develop policies to ease fuel prices.
  • Assistant Secretary of State Ramin Toloui has told reporters that the US is not sanctioning Russian grain or fertiliser to counter Russian accusations that the food crisis is exacerbated by US-led sanctions.
  • The Helsinki Commission will meet today for a joint congressional hearing on Russia’s “viciously imperial character” and to discuss the security architecture of Europe.
  • The January 6 Committee will meet again today but hearings scheduled for next week have been postponed until July.
