AUSSIE: Monday saw Citi note that "our AUD spot trader remains cautious despite
the risk bid: "As the potential for a genuine second wave of the coronas virus
intensifies, the whole of the eastern seaboard prepares to follow Victoria back
into lock down. The threat of this is underinvested and the capital costs to
re-open (higher input and output) become more pronounced when businesses are
forced to close their doors again. This is a genuine crossroads for an economy
battling to retain a pulse. I continue to be amazed by the resilience of AUD
crosses, I repeat the USD is too hard but the performance of AUD crosses can
only be explained by the well versed real money story that will soon dry up. We
continue to play from the short side vs. NZD/NOK, then GBP/EUR/CAD."
