Morawiecki Heads To Kyiv, Duda To Host National Security Council Meeting

  • Poland's ruling Law and Justice party's Secretary General confirmed press reports suggesting that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is en route to Kyiv, where he will participate in a special sitting of the Ukrainian parliament to commemorate the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion. Separately, President Andrzej Duda told RMF FM radio station this morning that he has invited Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky to Warsaw and the two sides will be in touch regarding the details.
  • President Duda will host a meeting of the National Security Council at noon to brief its members on his recent talks with U.S. President Joe Biden and discuss the situation surrounding the war in Ukraine. The NSC includes representatives of opposition parties and holds its meetings behind closed doors.
