BOE: ###Most analysts expect BoE MPC to vote 9-0 to leave policy unchanged:
- BAML: BoE to vote 9-0 to keep rates/QE on hold. Not much of note likely in
minutes of BoE meeting. We expect a 'holding position' ahead of February QIR
- Commerzbank: With rates rising 25bps in Nov, safe assumption there will be no
policy changes in Dec. See vote 9-0 on rates and QE.
- Barclays: Following the November hike, the first in a decade, we expect the
MPC to unanimously vote for unchanged policy at its December meeting.
- Nordea: Should be rather a non-event for the markets after the Nov 25bp hike.
Expect BoE to keep rates on hold and the QE unchanged for a prolonged period of
time, as the uncertainty around the final Brexit deal remains high.
- Citi: We expect unanimous decisions to keep all policy settings unchanged,
after Nov rate hike. Recent currency strength puts the BoE on hold for now and
there is not an insignificant probability of no further move next year.
- Lloyds: We expect the decision to keep rates unchanged at 0.5% to be
unanimous. With economic outlook remaining highly uncertain Bank is likely to
proceed cautiously. Baseline forecast is for next rate rise to be in Aug 2018.
