Mostly Cheaper

JGBS

A news-light morning session, with some modest weakness seen in the 5- to 20-Year zone of the curve, as JGB benchmarks in that area cheapen by 0.5-1.5bp during the morning session, perhaps aided by 10s failing to push below yesterday's low in yield terms (0.01%) before the cheapening kicked in. The wings of the curve have firmed a little. JGBs backed away from best levels, cheapening as we went through the morning, with the aforementioned yield dynamics eyed. The contract last trades -12 on the day. The latest BoJ monetary policy decision headlines the local docket this afternoon.
