N. Korea Says It Tested Two Long-Range Cruise Missiles On Wednesday

NORTH KOREA

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un supervised the launch of two long-range strategic cruise missiles on Wednesday, its state media reported this morning.

  • The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said the drills were conducted to enhance the "combat efficiency and might" of the missiles deployed to the military units that operate tactical nuclear weapons.
  • Kim Jong-un said the tests were a clear warning to enemies and vowed further development of the nation's nuclear combat armed forces.
