Nagy Recommends Government to Intervene in Fuel Prices
HUNGARY
- The Minister of the National Economy Marton Nagy has commented on Hungarian fuel prices (via local newspaper vg.hu): “I recommend that the government intervene in fuel prices at tomorrow's government meeting.” Click here to see the full story.
- As a reminder, the National Economy Ministry said in statement this morning that higher motor fuel prices have added 0.6-0.7ppts to headline inflation. The ministry noted that prices at the pump were up 11pc for petrol and 13pc for diesel compared to a year earlier.
- The Hungarian cabinet are set to discuss re-introducing fuel price caps at a meeting tomorrow.
