NATGAS: Israel’s Gas Production Down Slightly in Q2

Israel produced 2.50 bcf/d of gas in Q2, down fractionally on Q1 but still the third highest on record, according to MEES.

  • The record came as the Karish field ramped up to a new record of 530 mcf/d for the first time since its start up at the end of 2022.
  • While exports remain strong, the slight dip will squeeze Egypt as it needs to maximise its gas imports given its aims of phasing out blackouts in times of peak power demand.
