National holiday, CPI Slows In June

COLOMBIA
  • Colombia observes a national holiday.
  • Inflation data released over the weekend showed June CPI fell on the month, with the annual figure also below expectations:
    • June consumer prices fall 0.05% m/m; est. +0.03%
    • June consumer prices rise 3.63% y/y; est. +3.71%
    • June core CPI rises 0.15% m/m; prior 0.15%
    • June core CPI rises 2.70% y/y; prior 2.11%
  • A very light data week should see local assets be primarily driven by broader sentiment in the wake of the Fitch downgrade last week.
