NBP Hardt Sees High Change of a Rate Hike In December

  • Belarus moved toward de-escalating a crisis on European Union's eastern frontier, providing shelter for some of the migrants stuck on its border and pushing for a diplomatic solution with the continent's heavyweight Germany (BBG).
  • NBP 'hawk' Lukasz Hardt said in an interview that he sees a high likelihood of rate hike at the next meeting on December 8.
  • The magnitude of the hike will depend strongly on CPI November print coming out on November 30.
  • USDPLN has been consolidating slightly lower in the past two days after reaching a local high at 4.1290; support to watch on the downside stands at 4.10, followed by 4.0790. On the topside, next resistance to watch above 4.1290 stands at 4.1540.
  • Poland 10Y yield retraced sharply higher yesterday, breaking above the 3.13% level; next resistance to watch on the topside stands at 3.30%. On the downside, first support to watch stands at 3%.
