DENMARK

PM Mette Frederiksen's centre-left Social Democrats remain the dominant force in Danish politics, winning 50 out of 179 seats in parliament in the 1 November general election. The 'red bloc' of leftist parties that historically back the Social Democrats in gov't won a wafer-thin majority, with 90 seats in total compared to 89 for the combined centre-right 'blue bloc' and the centrist Moderates.
