Netherlands 2023 funding plan

EUROZONE ISSUANCE
  • The DSTA has estimated the Netherlands' preliminary funding need for 2023 at E101.5bln (made up of redemptions of E31.6bln, money market maturities of E36.3bln and cash deficit of E33.6bln).
  • The 2022 funding need was revised to E62.7bln in September from an initial expectation of E74.5bln.
  • Capital markets instruments are expected at approximately E50bln for the year (2022 saw a target of E40-45bln in June, from an initial "approximately E45bln" target). See breakdown below.
  • New issues:
    • A 7-year Jan-30 DSL via MTS auction on 11 January. E8bln indicative in 2022
    • A 10-year Jul-33 DSL will launch via DDA in February (E12bln indicative in 2022)
    • A new Green 20-year DSL via DDA, E5bln indicative; exact timing/size TBD
  • On-the-run issues to continue to be built:
    • 0% Jan-26 DSL to be tapped on 10 Jan, for E2.5-3.5bln; E4bln total planned (E8.3bln issued in 2022; E12bln target size within 18 months of 11 January 2022 launch).
    • E21bln of funding still TBA

  • All available issuance dates for DSLs are to be used in Q1 (second and fourth Tuesday of each month).
