New Cabinet Sworn in Following PM Chavez Appointment

  • The Executive Branch on Saturday morning made the designation of the new Ministerial Cabinet official, whose members were sworn in by the President Pedro Castillo, in a ceremony held last Friday at the Government Palace in Lima.
  • The designations were established through supreme resolutions published in the Official Gazette El Peruano.
  • It is worth noting that twelve ministers from the previous cabinet remain in their positions including the finance minister Burneo. Oliverio Muñoz Cabrera takes over as Minister of Energy and Mines.
  • This follows the appointment of Betssy Chavez as the new Prime Minister, Castillo’s fifth PM since becoming President.
