Nigeria LNG Aim to Complete 7th Train by 2025

Nigerian state energy company NNPC is aiming to complete the new seventh LNG train by 2025 according to CEO Mele Kyari.

  • The project is expected to increase the capacity of Nigeria LNG's current six-Train plant by 35% from 22mtpa to 30mtpa.
  • He added the company is in talks to supply more LNG to Europe and engaging with shareholder regarding a potential eight LNG plant.
  • Nigeria LNG is 49% owned by NNPC with other shareholders Shell, TotalEnergies and Eni.
