Nigeria Targets 1.5-1.6mn bpd Crude Production by October

Nigeria expects to lift its crude oil production by 200,000 to 300,000 bpd by October according to Mele Kyari, the chief executive of the Nigeria National Petroleum Co.

  • It would pull oil output from the country to around 1.5-1.6mn bpd from around 1.3mn bpd currently.
  • Kyari referred to $80/bbl as the upper end of the range for crude prices at the moment.
