No Flattening Here

JGBS

The potential flattening impulse that we flagged pre-open has not been observed on the JGB curve as the major benchmarks run little changed to 1.5bp cheaper, with the super-long end leading the weakness. JGB futures are -2, after testing their overnight low. Comments from BoJ Governor Kuroda, made in his latest impromptu appearance in front of parliament, have gone over old ground, while the outdated minutes from the BoJ’s Sep monetary policy meeting failed to provide any impetus for the space.
