Norway's Sverdrup Suffered Partial Outage Wednesday


Norway’s massive Johan Sverdrup field, the largest in the North Sea, suffered a partial production outage Wednesday following a loss of power.

  • The outage affected Sverdrup's Phase 2, which has the capacity to pump around 185,000 barrels of oil per day.
  • Equinor referred to the power issues as a ‘short term shutdown’.
