Norway’s Oil, Natural Gas Production Fell in May

Norway’s oil and natural gas production last month fell to the lowest level so far this year, data from NPD showed.

  • Norway’s oil production in May stood at 1.772mbpd of oil, down from 1.808mbpd in April.
  • Daily oil production in May was above the forecast of 1.75mbpd and output remained above May 2022 levels of 1.635mbpd.
  • Total liquids production last month, including oil, NGL and condensate stood at 1.991mbpd, down from 2.035mbpd a month earlier.
  • Norway’s natural gas production fell significantly to 274mcm/d in May, down from 339.8mcm/d in April. Gas output was forecast to reach 295.906mcm/d.
