Noting Recent Reports On Restructuring At Today's Issuer ZF Finance Europe

  • Noting reports last week around today’s issuer the ZF CEO’s comments on potential restructuring which may include cutting up to 12,000 jobs in a worst-case scenario. Large-scale protests have occurred at ZH headquarters in response to the job losses.
  • ZF is also considering job relocation to lower-cost regions like Eastern Europe and India and the sale or IPO of its airbag unit, which employs about 35,000 people.
  • The reports came against wider turmoil in the auto parts sector as manufacturers transition to the BEV model. Bosch plans to cut up to 1200 software/electronics jobs by end-2026.
  • Both manufacturers now face extended negotiations with labor representatives before they can proceed with their restructuring plans.
