UK DATA: Nov GDP Boosted By "Black Friday"; Mfg Remains In The Doldrums

November GDP growth of 0.2% m/m means a fall of 0.6% in December would 
leave Q4 GDP rate unchanged, assuming no revisions. Strength in the 
November reading appeared to stem from a "Black Friday" boost to 
services, with growth of 0.3%, its strongest since July. Further 
assistance came from the construction sector, posting 0.6% growth in 
November. Manufacturing output declined for a fifth consecutive month, 
which last happened in February 2009.
