range, where upbeat China data helped to underpin the Aussie, China imports from
Australia surged by 25% in October.
*Aussie held a $0.7674-81 range ahead of local data, September's housing finance
data came in -2.3% m/c against MNI's median of +3.0%, Aussie dipped from $0.7678
to $0.7663 before meeting demand
*Commodity futures opened higher and extended gains, Shanghai steel +1.8%,
coking coal +2.5% and Dalian ore +1.0%, Aussie climbed steadily to $0.7690
before easing back to $0.7680.
*Resistance is still proving stubborn near the 200-dma ($0.7699), a clean break
needed to sustain upward momentum, while hourly support is found at $0.7645.
