- November GDP gain was first time in three months; MNI survey had no 
estimates of growth.
- Declines in mining/oil & gas extraction (-1.4%) and transportation 
(-0.9%) mainly offset by rises in utilities(+2.1%) and construction 
(+0.5%).
- November mining and quarrying ex-oil & gas (-4%) contributed the 
most to the decline in Nov. mining/oil & gas extraction.
- Oil/gas extraction +0.8%; for third consecutive month; but support 
activities for mining/oil & gas extraction -5.5%.
- Transportation /warehousing decline was the fifth in six months 
mainly on two events, CN strike and pipeline closure.
- November industrial prices +0.1% vs. ex-energy +0.1; raw material 
price index +2.8% vs. ex-energy +0.7%.
- IPPI Nov. gain was mainly driven by higher prices for primary 
non-ferrous metal products (+1.2%).
- RMPI increase led by higher prices for crude energy products (+5.4%).
