NW Europe US Imports Down at 40% So Far in Oct

Northwest Europe has received 18 cargoes so far this month with US supply down at just 40% according to Bloomberg ship tracking data. The region is currently scheduled to receive another 17 cargoes this month. Northwest Europe has imported just one LNG cargo from Russia so far this month.

  • An LNG vessel controlled by SEFE will load a cargo in Belgium from Russia’s Yamal LNG plant on 14 Oct and destined for India. The cargo is the second Yamal LNG cargo since the company resumed taking deliveries under its Russian supply contract.
  • LNG sendout to Europe is estimated up at 350mcm/d on 10 Oct according to Bloomberg compared to 267mcm/d the previous day.
  • LNG volumes at sea for at least 20 days continue to rise up to 4.488m on 10 Oct according to Bloomberg with deliveries waiting for higher demand and higher priced periods. Volumes are well above the seasonal five year normal and approaching the high of around 4.9m seen in Nov 2022.
