NZD/USD Pushes To Best Levels Since 2018

NZD

NZD/USD rose with NZGB yields Wednesday as the Democrats took control of the U.S. Senate, although the NYSE's another U-turn on de-listing Chinese telecoms and a siege of the capitol by Trump loyalists kept a lid on further gains. The rate printed fresh cycle highs before its rally ran out of fuel.

  • Per a report published by realestate.co.nz, asking prices moved higher in Dec amid persistent shortages in domestic housing stock.
  • The rate operates +7 pips at $0.7300. Bulls need a clearance of Jan 6 high of $0.7315 before targeting Apr 13, 2018 high of $0.7395. Bears look for a dip through Jan 4 low of $0.7153 before taking aim at Dec 28, 2020 low of $0.7084.
  • Nothing much left on NZ docket during the remainder of this week.
