KIWI: NZD/USD rallied into the WMR fix Thursday and held the bulk of gains into
the close, as the greenback was offered. The rate punched through resistance
from Mar 9 high of $0.6448 and showed at levels not seen since mid-Feb.
- The rate last deals at $0.6468, marginally above neutral levels, with bulls
looking for a move through the peak of Feb 12 at $0.6488 before taking aim at
Feb 5 high of $0.6503. Bears would be pleased by a retreat under the $0.6400
figure, towards the 200-DMA at $0.6318.
- Looking ahead, New Zealand reports volume of all buildings on Monday, flash
ANZ Business Confidence on Tuesday, m'fing activity on Wednesday, card spending
on Thursday and BusinessNZ M'fing PMI on Friday.
