NZGBS: NZ$4.5bn Of New May-35 Bond Issued Via Syndication

The NZ Treasury has today announced that NZ$4.5bn of the nominal 15 May 2035 NZGB has been issued via syndication.

  • The bonds, which carry a coupon of 4.50%, were issued at a spread of 6bps over the 15 May 2034 nominal green bond, at a yield to maturity of 4.7775%.
  • Total book size, at final price guidance, exceeded NZ$17.0bn.
  • Settlement will occur on 11 April 2024 and there will be no further issuance of the bond prior to July 2024.
