  • Other speakers today include Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D-IL), Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-NM) and former Trump press secretary Stephanie Grisham.
  • President Joe Biden departed Chicago after his keynote address yesterday, clearing the path for the DNC to focus exclusively on the Harris-Walz presidential ticket, although Harris will skip the conference today to attend a campaign event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
  • AP notes: "According to the Harris campaign, Michelle Obama is expected to argue how Harris’ experiences and values make her qualified to serve as president. Her husband, Harris campaign officials said, will focus on what Democrats need to do in order to defeat Trump in the general election."
  • CBS notes that today's theme for the conference is "A Bold Vision for America's Future," where the party is set to outline the choice between Harris and Trump and their outlook on the future.
