Oil Provides Fresh Richening Impetus, Previous Session Highs Remain Intact In Bunds & Gilts

BONDS

Fresh session lows for oil helped Bund & Gilt futures back towards best levels, after the initial momentum surrounding the U.S. IJC print faded. Still, crude oil futures have recovered from worst levels and U.S. equities have ticked higher, which has left both Gilt & Bund futures shy of their previously registered peaks. Twist steepening remains evident on the Gilt curve, while the belly and intermediates outperform on the Bund curve, with richening seen across all of the major German benchmarks.
