Oman Ship Strike Minor Damage

An oil tanker was struck by a bomb-carrying drone off the coast of Oman on Tuesday night, according to The Associated Press citing defence officials.

  • The Liberian-flagged oil tanker was operated by Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping, a company owned by Israeli billionaire Idan Ofer.
  • The tanker, Pacific Zircon, was last seen off the coast of Liwa, Oman on Monday morning. It departed from Sohar, Oman on Monday afternoon heading to the port of Buenos Aires Argentina.
  • There are currently no reports of injuries or oil spill and only minor damages to the tanker, according to Bloomberg.
