- About Us
UK: On the final day of voter registration ahead of the 12 Dec election around
660,000 individuals signed up, with around 460,000 of these aged under 35.
- This number exceeds the 622,000 that signed up in the final 24hrs of the 2017
voter registration period. The large number of new, young voters in 2017 was
seen as a notable factor in Labour's ability to deny then-PM Theresa May's
Conservatives a majority.
- Will be seen as a boost to Labour's chances of holding seats/winning seats
from the Conservatives.
- It should be noted, though, that a number of the youth registrations will be
students that are already registered at a university address registering at
home, or vice versa.
